Our Junior Sailing Program – (ages 8-18)
On the shoreline of beautiful Lake Minneola, children are taught to rig and launch their own boat. On the lake, they learn the thrill of skippering their own vessel and experience a sense of accomplishment along with the joy of being on the water.
Sailing is a skill to last a lifetime which
- instills confidence and self-discipline
- fosters teamwork
- improves analytical and critical thinking skills
Our classes are taught by volunteers who are certified through U.S. Sailing and enjoy sharing their love of sailing with the next generation.
Safety, Swimming and Age Pre-Requisites
All programs are coed for ages 8-18 years old. Classes are taught by a crew of friendly, experienced, U.S. Sailing certified instructors who make lessons fun and educational, and include S.T.E.M. aspects using sailing as the educational platform.
Safety is first and foremost in the minds of the instructors. All youth participating must pass a swim check. Life jackets will be worn at all times when students are on the shoreline or in boats.
